Je ein Song (fast) aller 59 bisherigen Platten des Monats, die grob dem Genre Rockmusik in all seinen Facetten zuzuordnen sind. Eines der Alben ist auf YouTube nicht zu finden ... Sachen gibt's, die gibt's gar nicht.

Also 58 Songs von 1972 bis 2019, von AC/DC bis Woodcocks, von Classic Rock über Hard Rock, Folk Rock, Indie Rock und Garagenrock bis Bluesrock. Die seltenen Ausflüge in Pop-Rock-Gefielde sowie in die Welt des Electronica-Sounds sind hier ebenso enthalten.

Der Twin Guitar Lead oder die Twin Guitar Harmony entsteht, wenn zwei Gitarren unisono fast das Gleiche spielen. Die Betonung liegt eben auf „fast“, denn mal liegen eine oder mehrere Oktave dazwischen, mal gibt es minimale Unterschiede im Timing und der Melodieführung, usw. - und genau deshalb klingt es ja so geil.

• Stevie Ray Vaughan mit Leave my girl alone - es gab in den 80er und 90ern wohl kaum einen Nachwuchs-Gitarristen, der nicht klingen wollte wie er. Ich verweise hierfür auch auf die beiden Platten des Monats.
• Buddy Guy mit Too broke to spend the night - damit klar wird, welcher Großmeister hinter Stevie Ray Vaughans Spielstil steckt (auch wenn speziell diese Aufnahme erst nach Stevies Tod entstanden ist).
• Eric Clapton mit Old love (legendäres Gitarrensolo!) und mit Little Wing, ursprünglich von Jimi Hendrix, hier aber in seiner ganz eigenen Interpretation, die erstmals auf dem Derek & the Dominos-Album erschien. Beide Songs sind am selben Abend im Madison Square Garden aufgenommen. Der Meister war in Form an jenem Abend ...
